During the artistic procedure, and way before the idea is resulting in something concrete, there are several stages of selection and rejection. My project, during the Artists in residence program (ARP3), was based on the idea above. I gathered materials that have been rejected by the participating artists and used them as raw materials for my own composition, having in mind the verses of T.S. Eliot “[W]hat might have been and what has been points to one end which is always present”. The wooden cabinet with the mirror that I found in the working area, closed and out of use, became an ideal item for this project.
